Our Stage Management Bootcamp Workshop will explore what you need to make your transition to the stage a success. How do you prepare to go into a theatre? How do you notate technical cues in your script? How do you use your tech time efficiently? How do you give notes to actors? Come and learn tips and tricks from an industry professional on running a show, calling cues and delegating work to your assistants and running crew.
Directions
Hart House Theatre is only accessible from the outside of the Hart House building. It is located in the sub-basement of Hart House. The entrances to the Theatre (Audience Entrance and Stage Door) are outside of the building on either side of the entrance into the Arbor Room Cafe. Please enter through the Stage Door, located under the blue U of T banner. There are two flights of stairs to enter the Theatre. Nika Jalali
Nika (she/her) is an international multi-disciplinary artist, producer and stage manager. She is devoted to curating spaces and pushing boundaries for racialized communities to perform and share their stories on Canadian and international stages. She has worked with companies such as The Theatre Centre, Rock Bottom Movement, Why Not Theatre and PushPULL Dance in various formats including virtual, filmed, fringe, independent, and full productions. Nika’s career has taken her to countries such as Italy, Scotland, the Czech Republic, and Germany as part of her collaboration on interdisciplinary projects.
