History

An architectural masterpiece, Hart House is a popular downtown Toronto location that has played host to nearly 100,000 events, conferences, galas, weddings, performances, dinners, receptions and meetings since its opening in 1919.

A key cultural and ceremonial centre at the University of Toronto, Hart House was designed by one of the last masters of Gothic style, architect Henry Sproatt. The grand interior of the House features high, arched ceilings unique to each room, Italian travertine floors and distinctively designed fireplaces and alcoves.

Whether you are planning a trade show or a business meeting, your event coordinator will facilitate the development of a custom plan, and will ensure that your requirements are met, regardless of your group size, preferred seating style or catering requests.

Location

Hart House is easily accessible by local Toronto transit and a variety of highways and major routes, making it a convenient location for local and out-of-town visitors.
