Building Community

You can make use of our open spaces to relax with friends or find a quiet place to read. Visit Hart House during operating hours and make use of the Library and Reading Room.

Being able to engage students across disciplines and years of study through their shared passion for music – and helping them realize that despite how large U of T may feel, there is still a community to belong to – is the most rewarding part of my experience at Hart House.

U of T Student

Participating in Hart House programming has greatly enriched my university experience. The friends I have made through this programming have been so kind and with them I have had some of my best memories throughout university.

U of T Student

The most rewarding part of Hart House is the connection I have made with people, and how caring my team was. I was a part of the Youth Access team as a placement student, and I truly felt like I was a part of their family.
