Erin and Cedric will use their combined years of knowledge, collaboration, and expertise to take you through the most crucial elements of producing. Erin Brandenburg
Erin Brandenburg is a theatre director and writer originally from Essex County, Ontario. Based in Toronto, she makes work with the multidisciplinary collective Kitchenband. Erin is a graduate of the directing program at the Soulpepper Academy, winner of the Enbridge Emerging Playwright’s Award, a finalist for the Gina Wilkinson prize, participant of the Stratford Playwright’s Retreat, and The Banff Playwright’s Lab and the upcoming Longbourough Lake Writer's Retreat with Crow's Theatre and Mongrel Media. She was an artist in residence at the Toronto Public Library through Artists in the Library, where she created the Albion VR Project in collaboration with Toasterlab. Selected directing credits include the upcoming musical about disability and inclusion - The Flin Flon Cowboy (The Flin Flon Collective), Knives in Hens (XU/Soulpepper Director's Project), Forgiven/Forgotten (Audio Drama - TOTB), HOME DAY (Necessary Angel/Resilience Project), UnMute (Zoom Play/Podcast - TOTB), Remembering the Winnipeg General (Zeitpunktheatre), Everything I Couldn’t Tell You (RISER/Spiderbones), Blood Wedding (Soulpepper), This Will Lead to Dancing (TOTB), Petrichor (Summerworks/HATCH).
Her plays include BOBLO (Theatre Centre/Kitchenband - Dora Nominated for 5 awards, winner of 2), The Great Lakes Project (Kitchenband), Petrichor (Summerworks), Drive (Kitchenband/Edge of the Woods Theatre), Detroit Time Machine (Rhubarb), Pelee (SummerWorks) and Reesor (Best of the Fringe, Next Stage - co-written with Lauren Taylor).

Cedric Martin
Cedric Martin is the Artistic Producer of Theatre of the Beat and the Faciltator, Playwright, Set Builder and Producer for I Love You and it Hurts. Cedric is very excited to be working on this production. Cedric is also one of the Artistic Directors of Don't Look Down Theatre Company. For Theatre of the Beat Cedric has worked on Selah’s Song (2022-2023), Unmute (2020-2022), Forgiven/Forgotten (2021), and Yellow Bellies (2019-2020). When Cedric is not working on theatre he can be found spending time with his wife, Alyse and daughter Calia.
