About this class
This program will prepare participants to lead mindfulness meditation to their peers or in their work setting. It is ideal for those working in or studying education, social work, healthcare, and related fields. Participants should have an existing mindfulness practice and/or have studied mindfulness as a topic in their coursework or through self-directed learning.
In this 4-week introductory course participants will:
- Discuss key aspects of mindfulness including the roots of the practice, definitions, and the benefits of mindfulness.
- Share insights into facilitating mindfulness meditation and mindfulness-based activities.
- Experience a wide variety of practices
- Practice facilitating mindfulness in breakout groups.
