Get Crafty! features a follow-along beading video tutorial by Jenny Blackbird produced by First Nations House and Ciimaan/Kahuwe’yá/Qajaq (CKQ), to teach us how to make a beaded and not beaded Orange Shirt Pin for the Orange Shirt Day awareness campaign, which seeks to educate about our history of residential schools and honours those who survived, and did not survive, residential school experiences.
Tools and materials will be provided. No prior experience is required. For those who want to participate from home, a limited number of beading kits are available: please contact Saša Rajšić by September 15, 2023, to request a kit for pick up at Hart House or by mail in Canada.
