Winter 2024 Fitness Challenge


Move with Hart House this February for the first fitness challenge of the year! 

Visit us for 7 or 21 days this month - whatever works for you. It’s all about fitness at your own pace. Participate for a chance to win one of three $100 credits toward Hart House Fitness Centre membership, programs or services, including personal training and registered fitness programs.  

To get started, simply pick up your Challenge Card during your first visit in February. Then, track each visit by collecting a sticker when you sign in at the Fitness Centre.

Every workout counts! You can find your fit in drop-in classes, registered programs, or self-directed workouts in the Pool, Weight Room, Upper Gym, and more.  Let's make February fun while getting fit! 

Contest Dates

This Contest opens at 7:00 AM on February 1, 2024, and closes at 8:59 PM on February 29, 2024.

How to Play

As of February 1, 2024, collect a Challenge Card (the Contest playing card) at the Fitness Main Desk. The Challenge Card will be used to track participant contest entries throughout the Contest.

To be eligible for the Prize, Challenge Cards must be posted in the designated space in the Fitness Centre. Once a Challenge Card is complete, Participants must drop their Challenge Card into the contest draw box by 8:59 PM on February 29, 2024, to be officially entered into the Prize Draw. Participants must include their name and email on the back of their Challenge Card.

Every visit to the Fitness Centre between February 1, 2024, and February 29, 2024, will earn participants one (1) sticker to add to their Challenge Card. Stickers can be obtained from Fitness Centre staff upon arrival at the facility. Participants must scan their membership card or TCard and proceed to the Fitness Centre to be eligible to receive a Challenge Card sticker.

Please note that participants will have their entries verified via Fitness Centre scan data and thus it is important that participants scan their membership card or TCard at the time of each visit for the visit to be eligible for the Contest. Participants are eligible to receive a maximum of one (1) sticker per day for the duration of the Contest.

How to Win

Move with us for 7 or 21 days during the Contest Dates to be eligible to win the Prize:

  • 7 to 20 stickers on a participant Challenge Card equals one (1) entry per qualifying participant into the Prize Draw.
  • 21+ stickers on a participant Challenge Card equals three (3) entries per qualifying participant into the Prize Draw.

Prize Draw

The Prize Draw will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 4, 2024, and three (3) eligible winners will be notified by email on the same day. The eligible winners will have seven (7) days from notification to claim the Prize. Unclaimed Prizes will be forfeited and a new name will be drawn. The Prize Draw process will henceforth be repeated until all Prizes have been claimed.


Win one (1) of three (3) $100.00 credits redeemable on Hart House Fitness Centre membership, registered programs, services or products including personal training, locker rental, towel service, and facility rental. 

The Prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash value. The Prize is non-transferable, and no substitution of the Prize is permitted except by U of T at its sole discretion. U of T reserves the right to substitute any of the Prizes of equal or greater value if the Prize as described cannot be awarded as described for any reason.

Contest Rules and Process

This Contest is open to Hart House Fitness Centre members in good standing, including incidental fee-paying U of T students. You must hold a valid Hart House Fitness Centre membership during the Contest Dates. 

This Contest is subject to all applicable laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada, as well as these Contest rules. By entering the Contest, you indicate your agreement to be bound by these rules.

U of T accepts no responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason and is not responsible for any miscommunications, failed communications systems, software malfunctions, or for any human errors in connection with the Contest. U of T may suspend or terminate this Contest if it is of the view, in its sole discretion, that the Contest’s administration or fair play has been compromised. The decisions of U of T in relation to this Contest will be final and binding on all entrants.

Additional Information

By entering the Contest, you agree to permit U of T to use your first name and the first initial of your last name on various U of T and Hart House communication platforms, including, without limitation, websites and social media for the purpose of results announcement.

U of T reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or suspend the Contest, at its discretion, at any time without prior notice.

Your personal information is collected under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act (FIPPA). This information provided to enter the Contest will be used only to administer the Contest and for no other reason. Questions about the collection of this information may be directed to Hart House Communications.

By entering the Contest, you agree to release, hold harmless, and indemnify U of T, and its Governors, officers, employees, affiliated entities (including, without limitation, Hart House) and agents from and against any and all liabilities, losses, claims, demands, costs and expenses (including lawyer’s fees and litigation expenses on a solicitor and own client basis) whatsoever to which any of them may become subject arising from your actions or omissions.

 The Governing Council of the University of Toronto (“U of T”) is the contest sponsor of the Contest.
