Join us for this CCR recognized, virtual workshop.

Hart House and the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) are delighted to present a workshop for students at the University of Toronto.

Working with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives is one of the most important skills in our interconnected world.

One of the strengths of working in teams is the ability to bring diverse viewpoints together. With our teams becoming more diverse, there are numerous benefits to ensuring the cultivation of various cultural viewpoints. In this workshop, participants will learn how to collaborate effectively by leveraging cultural differences and similarities. Participants will get a chance to learn about the different intercultural frameworks, skills, and tools and put them to practice right away!

What will you learn?

  • Explore how our own culture relates to our identity and affects our everyday interactions with those around us
  • Increase your awareness as to how your cultural stereotypes and unconscious biases can affect your intercultural interactions in the workplace and beyond
  • Determine best practices for how to read and adapt to diverse group settings
