About

Attendees of this session will embark on an immersive learning journey that equips them with the essential skills to effectively lead and collaborate with diverse teams in a global context. Through the lens of design thinking, participants will gain valuable insights into harnessing creativity, empathy, and innovation to overcome the unique challenges posed by cross-cultural collaboration.

Throughout the workshop, attendees will explore practical strategies for promoting effective communication, fostering inclusive decision-making, and navigating cultural nuances that can impact team dynamics. By leveraging design thinking principles, participants will learn to identify and address potential bottlenecks, enhance problem-solving abilities, and drive sustainable, human-centered solutions across borders.

The training will be highly interactive, featuring real-world case studies, role-playing exercises, and group discussions, ensuring that attendees not only grasp theoretical concepts but also develop tangible facilitation skills that they can apply immediately to improve their global team dynamics. By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped with the confidence and expertise to lead and empower teams that thrive in diverse and complex international settings.

Ideal candidates are excited and willing to expand their skill set to include virtual creative facilitation strategies, along with design thinking frameworks and approaches to problem-solving. Facilitation experience is an asset, but not required.

Training for this facilitation role is provided in the form of a professional development workshop led by an award-winning design collective, the Vancouver Design Nerds Society. This training and experience is in high demand in today’s virtual engagement field and can be included in your CV.
