Leave your gym bag behind and put your chef hat on! The Hart House Fitness Centre is taking you out of the gym and into the kitchen to celebrate National Nutrition Month with a series of four culinary workshops.
These sessions are perfect for busy students interested in learning how to better fuel their bodies for success. Learn how to shop for healthy ingredients, prepare and cook nutritious meals and ultimately, build a balanced plate that will leave you feeling sustained and energized to support your well-being.
Every participant will leave with an allergen-free meal.

Thursday, March 14, 2024: Chicken/Tofu vegetable stir fry

Asma Musa
Meet Asma, a dynamic force blending her passion for nutrition, culinary expertise, and community advocacy. As a first-year master's in public health candidate specializing in nutrition and dietetics, Asma is not only a dedicated student but also an experienced program facilitator and nutrition consultant. With a zest for diverse global cuisines, she transforms her love for food into budget-friendly homemade delights, embodying the essence of a true foodie.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Asma dons multiple hats as a nutrition consultant for various organizations, contributing to the well-being of communities. Her advocacy extends to serving as a Black Food Sovereignty champion, highlighting the importance of food access and justice. As a program facilitator, mentorship coordinator, and founding member of Say Somaali, an education-based organization in the Greater Toronto Area, Asma dedicates herself to empowering Somali youth. With her boundless energy, unwavering commitment, and diverse skill set, Asma is not just shaping her career but also making a significant impact on the intersection of nutrition, community, and education.
