The Black Self-Care Fair will bring together resources to help promote and encourage self-care for Black students.

Join us for a day of crafting, pampering, learning and connecting – all free of charge. The Black Self-Care Fair will bring together resources to help promote and encourage self-care for Black students with a particular focus on how self-care has been practiced within the BIPOC community. Stop by and get your hair braided, a fresh line up or a massage while learning some self-care tips and routines.  

You can drop in any time during the hours of this event. All services are FREE for students. No registration required.

Activities

Barbershop and Braids Station

Sign-up for a line-up with a professional barber or get your hair braided or twisted by the gifted hands of a hairstylist.

Painting and Journal Making

Drop by the Get Crafty painting station to enjoy some calming beginner friendly painting and journal making activities.

Aromatherapy Ball Making

Sooth your senses by making your very own custom aromatherapy roller ball with the Get Crafty team.

Guided Meditation/Yoga

Make your way over to the chapel and join a guided meditation session if you need a break from the hustle and bustle.

Plant Sale

Stop by the plant sale table and take your pick from a selection of potted plants that will be up for grabs.  Get them while they last!

Massage

Unwind and work out some of that pre-exam tension with a relaxing shoulder and neck massage.

Board Games

Dominoes or Uno? How about both!  Join one of the game tables and see how far you'll get!

Sea Moss/ Nutrition

Hop over to the nutrition station and learn about the many health benefits of Sea Moss.
