Join us for the first-ever Black Graduate Students Association virtual research conference at the University of Toronto.

Overview

Working in partnership with Hart House, this conference will serve as an open forum for Black graduate students to share their research with Black graduate students and Professors from Universities and Colleges across the globe.

This year's theme is "Celebrating Blackademia" and will center around the work, experiences and contributions of Black students and academics. We invite all Black students, staff and faculty, community members and non-Black allies to take the time and opportunity to meet with current and former Black students from various walks of life and learn about the experiences of Black academics in various research field.

This year's event will feature an interactive and highly engaged panel discussion followed by a Q and A and conference presentations.

Showcase your research

Looking to showcase your research with a presentation? We are accepting abstract or poster submissions from all academic fields. The deadline to submit abstracts is April 30th, 2021. Applicants will be notified on an ongoing basis until May 4th, 2021.
