The purpose of Anti-O Convos: Hot Topics is to create safer, braver spaces to engage in conversations that explore current events and popular trends in social media, while unmasking misconceptions about various groups/communities/people.

“A FULL STEP SAGA” Join artist performer, speaker and facilitator Marcelino “FrostFlow” DaCosta, for a discourse on Hip-Hop Culture and Activism, in the first Anti-O Convos – Hot Topic session for 2020!
Frostflow will lead discussion as a storyteller of various sub-topic conversations and participants are encouraged to share in the discussion of:
Hip-Hop Culture, its stereotypes, misconceptions and prejudices, as well as its relations to race, culture, ethnicity, gender and sexuality. We will also be sharing perspectives on Hip-Hop Culture as platform to voice truths and fight for social justice, all while being a powerful lens personal change and tool for community development and healing, Each One, Teach One.

Marcelino DaCosta a.k.a. Frostflow
Hip Hop Artist & Educator
World-class artist performer, educator, community worker, storyteller and Hip-Hop culture advocate, Marcelino “Frostflow” DaCosta has shared knowledge of deeply initiated Hip-Hop practice and promoted the arts through continual effort and inspiration globally on a multitude of platforms over the last 22 years. He is the founder of the internationally renowned Canadian Breakin’ (Breakdance) Champions: “Ground illusionz Hip-Hop Collective” since 1999 and owner of “Full Step Saga”—a company that utilizes creative pedagogical approaches to progressively educate the arts and life since 2016.
Marcelino is a Sheridan College Alumni through Community Outreach & Development, as well as a Fine Arts and Cultural Studies BA (Hons) graduate at York University. He has 15 years direct experience working on the front line with inner-city, incarcerated, indigenous, refugee, gifted, disabled, LGBTQ+ youth, and shared with various communities across Canada and the world.
As “Frostflow”, Marcelino has become a world champion coach, national ambassador, local leader and pioneer of many grassroots public health initiatives for youth including: "The Word Project" 2004’, “ManifesTO,” 2007, "Behaviour Arts Fest" 2009-14’, "R.H.Y.T.H.M." & "Let Go Expo" 2011’, "Share Our Spirit" 2012-14, "The HUB” 2015-18, "STORYTiME" (Japan) 2015-18 & Sauga Street Dance Summit 2018-20. He has also had a significant impact in contributing to world-recognized organizations & companies such as "BBoyizm", "UNITY Charity" & "BluePrint Pathways” as a performer, program coordinator, facilitator, and senior staff.
From Street-level to stage performance, international judging of world-level competitions, teaching workshops, producing events, keynote speaking at universities, representing the Canadian or world Hip-Hop community to the media or alongside other innovative minds at TEDx -Vancouver “ID” in 2016, Marcelino ”FrostFlow” DaCosta has became a respected voice globally and embodies the definitive essence of his craft and culture here in Canada.
