The Hart House A/V Tech Mentorship Program provides youth the opportunity to gain practical experience with different careers in the audio/visual field while earning a stipend (payment) for their commitment. Audio-Visual (AV) technicians set up, operate, and maintain multimedia equipment for events.

The A/V Tech Mentorship Program aims to:

  • Host 9 hours of hands-on workshop learning on topics like audio, video, and lighting.

  • Connect youth to immersive learning opportunities related to audio-visual programming at Hart House.

  • Offer career exploration, and provide sector-relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • Provide a barrier-free experience for participants.

  • Provide mentorship under the guidance of an experienced mentor in the field.

  • Target Audience: Indigenous youth, Black youth, Queer youth, Racialized youth, Muslim youth who identify as women, Non-binary and Trans youth.
