Program Advisors

Every registered club program and committee work with a Program Advisor who serves as their main link to Hart House. Program Advisors are Hart House staff who specialize in student experience and are here to advise and provide guidance to students groups as they plan and execute projects throughout the year.

Primarily, your Program Advisor will:

  • Act as the liaison between your group and Hart House.
  • Provide your group with feedback on upcoming projects and events, both at executive meetings, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Offer continuity as student leadership changes.
  • Sign off on all financial expenditures.
  • Assist with any other issues your question that may arise.

Your staff advisor also acts as an advocate for the students and student programming around University decision-making tables, and at Hart House. Keeping them informed of your needs and the important aspects of upcoming programs, events and meetings are integral to ensuring the continued success of student-lead programming at Hart House.

The Information Hub

The Information Hub is the central Hart House location for details on class and activity registration, Hart House membership, directions, and key sign-outs. It provides clubs and committees with access to their mailboxes, as well as the copier, scanner and fax machine. Groups can send on-campus mail from the Information Hub, and staff can also help student leaders set up payment for their events, and process financial transactions.

If you need to speak with a specific member of the team (to book travel, or open payments for an activity, for example), make sure to call or email ahead of time to arrange a time to meet.

Registered Club Programs and Committee Work Spaces

A computer work station is available in the Reading Room on the first floor of Hart House, exclusively for club and committee use. Printing is available from that station to the Hub. There is also an intern work space located on the third floor of Hart House.

Co-Curricular Record

The Co-Curricular Record (CCR) provides a database of activities that allows you to search for opportunities beyond the classroom and track your accomplishments. The CCR is not only your gateway to campus opportunities, but also memorializes your experiences and activities via an official University of Toronto document.

CCR-recognized activities include Hart House registered club programs and committee executives, work-study positions, and more. Visit the CCR website or speak to your Program advisor to learn more about receiving recognition for your work at Hart House.
