Join professional Music Director and U of T graduate Lily Ling as she answers questions like: have you ever wondered what it’s like to work professionally as a musician for theatre?
Do you know the differences between stick conducting and conducting from a keyboard? What changes from the rehearsal room to the orchestra pit? Lily will share her journey from Hart House Theatre to Broadway and be sure to ask her what it was like to be the first woman to Music Direct and Conduct the hit-sensation Hamilton!
Additionally, this workshop will include a discussion of basic pedagogical differences between a variety of music-direction situations, a topic of interest for any aspiring music director.
This workshop is made possible through a partnership with the Victoria College Drama Society. Priority registration will be given to U of T Students. Others can secure a spot in the workshop for a minimal fee.
