Do you want to produce a show but don't know where to begin?
Join us on Saturday, July 24, from 5–7 pm as theatre creator Aaron Jan takes you through the ins and outs of a crucial part of producing; building theatrical budgets.
Aaron will teach participants all the areas to consider when building a budget, such as standard rates for hiring creators, opportunities for grant funding, where to source costs and budget templates and how to avoid common mistakes. Do fundraising and sponsorship possibilities seem daunting? Don't know how much to set aside for your contingency plan? Still confused about the difference between an Indie 2.2, Collective Policy and a DOT contract? Join us for this virtual event which aims to equip you with all the tools you need to build a realistic show budget – and stick to it!
Priority registration will be given to U of T Students. Others can secure a spot in the workshop for a minimal fee.
