Art Museum Information Booth
Chat with Art Museum staff and find out about current exhibitions, public programs, and opportunities to get involved with the Art Museum! Grab freebies and participate in a raffle for a chance to win an Art Museum tote bag with our bestselling art publications.
Art Tour
11:00 am – 3:30 pm (20-minute tours, at the start of every hour)
The Hart House Art Collection Mini Tours offer visitors a unique opportunity to explore the rich and diverse art collection housed at Hart House, featuring works by renowned Canadian artists. Each tour delves into the history, significance and stories behind select pieces, making it an enriching cultural experience for all attendees.
Badminton
Drop-in and join us to play badminton and have some fun! Learn more about the Fitness Centre and the daily programming that is hosted.
Basketball shoot-out
12–1 pm, 2–3 pm
Join us in the Fitness Centre for a basketball shootout. In this fun competition you will see how many shots you can make from the free throw line in 30 seconds. The person with the most points at the end of the day will win a prize!
Button Making
Join the Hart House Student Ambassadors for button making! Stop by and make a button for yourself.
In our Button Making Workshop, get your craft-on by designing your own button with glitter, colouring, stickers and more. Button making machine and button supplies will be provided (Empty Button, color pencil/pens, stick glues etc.).
Digital Graphic Portraits
Discover the magic of personalized digital art with Jones Amare Au-Duke, one of the visionary artists behind “First 50: Toronto’s Hip Hop Architects” poster presented in collaboration with Roots Rhymes Collective. Jones Au Duke is a local Toronto artist, born and raised in Scarborough. Hart House Scavenger Hunt & House Tours
In-person tours: 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm
Looking for an interactive experience to get to know Hart House? Look no further! Shake up your orientation this year and join us for an in-person scavenger hunt using an online platform. Our scavenger hunt missions will help you get to know Hart House and the surrounding area, build community and of course… have fun! Let's go on a scavenger hunt!!
Prefer to take a tour with a guide? Our Information Services team will be leading in-person tours around the House every hour on the half-hour. Listen for the DJ announcement or make your way to the Information Services desk just before the tour time.
How to Play:
- Download the Goosechase iOS or Android app.
- Choose to participate as a guest, or register for a personal account with a username & password of your choice.
- Search for and select the Xplore Hart House Experience, or search for join code LKBGE1.
- Follow the prompts to select or create your player profile.

Hart House Theatre Games
Pop on by the Hart House Theatre Bean Bag Toss and learn about everything the Theatre has to offer. Chat with staff and hear how you can get involved with everything at Hart House Theatre while celebrating the end of summer with this classic lawn game. The Theatre has everything from dancing to acting, playwriting and panels, and you can be a part of it all. Toss a bean bag and win a prize! Bonus throws will be awarded if you are brave enough to belt out a theatrical tune or quote your favourite Shakespeare.
Henna
Step into the world of henna artistry with U of T student, Fizzah Chowdry. Fizzah uses henna sourced from nature itself. No chemicals, no additives — just pure, earthy goodness. Come and explore this beautiful form of self-expression!

Hart House Hospitality Services invites campus and community to the table to celebrate, socialize, and enjoy! We offer a variety of different options and services to satisfy every palate. Visit our team to learn more about dining and event bookings at Hart House. Find us in the Quad!
Rest Space and Massage
Come unplug, chill out and take a break in this rest and wellness space. Enjoy a self-directed meditation or take some quiet time for yourself to recharge.
Relax with us by booking a 10-minute massage between 11 am –2:30 pm. Your 10-minute shoulder massage will take place in a chair, fully clothed. Drop-in during the event to sign up for a slot. In-person sign-ups open at 11 am.
Student Farm Committee Plant Sale
Ready to infuse your life with lush greenery? Look no further! Our first plant sale of the year is here, and it’s your chance to transform your space into a calming oasis. Whether you’re a dorm dweller or an office jungle enthusiast, we’ve got the perfect plants for you.
Drop by the Hart House Farm Committee Plant Sale in the Hart House Quad and grab a few houseplants that are easy to care for, look fabulous, and will help you feel good as well. The plants are reasonably priced from $5 and up.
Remember, it’s first come, first served. Quantities are limited, so don’t miss out. Swing by the Hart House Quad and grab your leafy companions. Debit and credit only.
Sun Printing
Visit the Hart House Camera Club's Sun Printing Station to engage in the historical art of cyanotype! Bathed in sunlight, this station merges creativity with science, enabling participants to craft striking blue and white prints. Using sunlight, treated paper, and objects or negatives, you will engage in a hands-on process where you arrange your compositions to create one-of-a-kind cyanotype prints. The Sun Printing Station will offer insights into photography's roots while fostering your artistic expression and creativity!

DJ Shannyn Hill
DJ Shannyn Hill (she/her) is a versatile, Multi-genre DJ based in Toronto, Canada. She's known for captivating audiences with her remarkable ability to gauge the energy of the room, effortlessly crafting the perfect sonic atmosphere for any event. Making history as the first DJ for Canada's first and Second WNBA games, and performing at Toronto's first Rolling Loud music Festival, she has swiftly ascended from “bedroom DJ” to commanding thousands at major events. Shannyn plans to continue building her name in the entertainment scene and spread light and good vibes to people around the world, while staying authentic to herself.

Hart House is for ALL U of T students – St. George, Scarborough and Mississauga – and we want to engage you in all activities. For students at UTSC and UTM, Hart House is here for you, and this is your opportunity to come have fun and learn about the various activities and spaces first-hand!
