Our Hip Hop Education Community Connector, Marcus Singleton, will be in the barbershop hangin’ out, dropping knowledge, testing your hip hop trivia skills and curating some great audio vibes. Get fresh, chop it up, and enjoy some good food at the Hip Hop Education Pop-Up Barbershop.
Space is limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Hart House is pleased to be working with Fyyne, co-founded by Jeff Fasegha, a U of T graduate and a member of the Accelerate cohort of the Black Founders Network at U of T Entrepreneurship.

Hart House Global Commons & Changemakers Booth
11:00 am – 3:30 pm
Come meet the students and staff involved with our Hart House Dialogue programs, Global Commons and Changemakers, and find out how you can get involved all throughout the year!
Music: Students come and spin the globe, and where ever it lands we search for music from that region, or ask the students if they know music from that region. Take song requests, make a playlist that will be shared for everyone to have access to. In collaboration with Music Programs (Marco and Marcus) we will have some pre-curated playlists. Come and listen to global beats, global hip hop in different languages, or come request a song! We will use the activity as a way to talk about Global Commons programs and tie it in to global issues / dialogue programs in general.
Discussion: There will be two easels with poster boards and postit notes/markers to start 2 discussions around:
- 1. Global Commons Topic: Migration
- 2. Changemakers – who do you consider a changemaker, and why?
