Walk your way to better wellness.

Meet new people, discover nearby parks and find your connection to the outdoors and a healthier you this semester. Mindfulness-based outdoor exercises and activities to help students awaken their senses, connect to nature, meet others, and de-stress.

Note: These events will take place rain or shine. Come prepared for the weather, and ready to enjoy a few mindful moments connecting with nature in local parks.

Indigenous Histories of High Park Walk led by First Story Toronto

Thousands of years before it was called “High Park”, this area of Tkaronto was travelled and inhabited, and cared for by Indigenous peoples. Join us for a special walk in High Park, led by First Story Toronto. This walk will focus on the Indigenous histories of High Park and the Black Oak Savannah. First Story walking tours are led by Indigenous students of U of T. Learn more about the presence and practices of Indigenous peoples in Tkaronto, connect with other students, and the land.

Walk will take place rain or shine, come dressed for the weather! This walk is free, but registration is required. We will meet in High Park, TTC subsidies available upon request. Meeting details will be shared upon registration.

Wellness Walk x Wellbeing Collective@Hart House x Jodianne Beckford of Noire Girls Plant

Come along for a peaceful and healing walk in the stunning Beltline Park led by Jodianne Beckford, founder of Noire Girls Plant, a platform that intends to build community through educating people on the importance of nurturing plants for personal healing. The walk will be about an hour, a chance to connect with nature, make some friends, and let nature nurture.

Walk will take place rain or shine, come dressed for the weather! This walk is free, but registration is required. We will meet in the Belt Line Park, TTC subsidies available upon request. Meeting details will be shared upon registration.
