Join us Thursdays from 11am–1pm for free drop-in crafting sessions and workshops. Learn basic skills for various crafts including sewing, papercraft, collage, printing, painting, and more.
We provide everything, including all the tools and materials. Or, bring whatever you are working on, hang out in a big comfy chair, trade tips with other crafters, and catch up with some old friends while meeting new ones over all things crafty.

Get Crafty will offer buttonmaking at Xplore Hart House on September 12 from 11:00–3:00 pm. See you in the Hart House Quad!
Indigo Tie Dye
Indigo Tie Die in the Quad (please follow the signs and enter via the alcove off of the main hallway) We will be working with natural Indigo dye to make gorgeous tie-dye creations. Bring your own t-shirts or socks (white,100% cotton is best) or feel free to use the materials we supply.
Water Colour Bookmarks
Learn the basics of essential watercolour techniques while creating beautiful bookmarks. This is the first in a series of Get Crafty sessions exploring watercolours.
Cyanotypes in the Quad
Cynanotypes are an early form of photography that uses an enchanting process of direct printing using sunlight that results in distinctive deep blue and white compositions.

In our second watercolour tutorial series, we will use a limited colour palette to create eye-catching cards, while practicing your watercolour skills.
Needle Felting
You will love needle-felting! It’s sculptural, but it can also be like painting, but with wool and a sharp little needle! A very intuitive craft that is adaptable to whatever your brilliant imagination can conjure!

In anticipation of the Hart House Hallowe’en Party on October 31, we will be carving pumpkins today! We’ll provide pumpkins, tools, a few patterns and spooky vibes! Keep your pumpkin creation, or leave it with us for display at the Hallowe’en Party.
