The Hart House Chess Club, the official Chess Club of the University of Toronto, is delighted to host the 2024 Canadian Chess Championship.

Hosted at Hart House for the first time in over 30 years, the Canadian Chess Championship will include a 10-round Open Swiss and a 9-round Women's Swiss for spots to the Chess World Cup and Olympiad.
Time Control (all sections): 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with an addition of 30 seconds per move increment from move one
Capacity: 100 for Zonals, 300 for General Section.
Sections:
- Zonal Section, Minimum 2000 FIDE OR 2200 CFC/FQE;
- Women’s Zonal Section, open to all;
- General Sections: 1800+, U1800(CFC-rated and FIDE-rated),and U1400(CFC-rated only).
Fee Structure:
- Zonals: $160 by March 1st, 11:59 pm ET, $200 thereafter until March 25th 11:59 pm.
- General Sections: $90 by March 1st, 11:59 pm ET, $100 thereafter until March 25th 11:59 pm.
- Discounted fees apply for University of Toronto students.
