Chef Noella Charles
Also known as Noella Charles, Ella is one of Toronto’s best-kept secrets. Her passion for food has ignited a spark in the GTA and it’s not slowing down. Her culinary inspiration comes from her St. Lucian roots. However, after 40 years of living in Canada she is no stranger to combining Canadian and Caribbean flavors.
Noella, the second of thirteen children, was raised by her grandmother Mama, an amazing cook and bakery owner. As a child, Noella often dreamed about having her own business, which she named after her late father, a fisherman and businessman called Leslie Charles.
Noella is the Head Chef and Creative Director of Ella Charles Cuisine, which opened in 2016. Her menu is a culinary adventure that leaves her clientele asking for seconds. She enjoys recipe formulating and likes to design programs and teach workshops to share cooking tips. Her love of culture, community, and dedication to helping others is what sparks her creativity and passion for amazing food.
Ella is also a mother of four and grandmother to three. In her spare time, she is a painter, writer, and traveller with a zest for life.
