Hart House Jazz Choir Onoscatopoeia

Introduction

The Hart House Jazz Choir is an auditioned a cappella group of enthusiastic vocalists who love nothing more than the sweet sound of perfectly pitched harmonies and killer chords.

Led by conductor Jeff Magee, we have a diverse repertoire that includes jazz, pop, and R&B music. We love taking the songs you know and love and giving them a twist that only a cappella can!

Known as Oscat, the University of Toronto's Hart House Jazz Choir are no strangers to the stage, and have had the opportunity to perform in a variety of gigs, including the Beaches Jazz Festival. With at least 3 performances every year (including our winter and spring concerts) we make sure our voices are heard! We also have a yearly Coffee House performance where we showcase individual members’ musical talents. Rehearsals are Monday nights from 5–7:30 pm. Like all Hart House clubs, membership is open to all. As a group, it's our goal to not only develop our musical skills, but to make sure we have fun doing it!
