Hart House Underwater Club
The The Hart House Underwater Club is a recreational scuba diving club that has been training scuba divers at the University of Toronto for over 55 years! Our members span all levels of recreational scuba diving experience, from the curious student who is discovering what it feels like to breathe underwater to the seasoned instructor who is dedicated to training others in safe, enjoyable scuba diving practices.
If you love being underwater, then our club is for you! Our members scuba dive, snorkel, travel, and even play underwater hockey! Learn to scuba dive with us and develop your skills as divers and dive leaders. Volunteer your knowledge, skills, enthusiasm and experience and you will become part of a group of people who are dedicated to preserving the world beneath the waves.

How to get Involved:
We offer scuba training opportunities for all interest and experience levels.
Always wanted to try breathing underwater but don’t have the time to dedicate to a full course? Join a one-night Try Scuba Diving experience.
Already know that you want to be thoroughly prepared for scuba diving at home and abroad? Take our NAUI Scuba Diver course, offered each fall or winter term.
Been certified for years and just can’t wait to get back into diving? Take a scuba refresher with us (offered when there is sufficient interest), or take part in our higher level courses and pool practice opportunities.
Increase your fitness and confidence underwater as you join the ongoing Diving Fitness and Snorkeling course in the Hart House pool or learn how to play underwater hockey and participate in provincial tournaments.
Current registered courses can be found on the Hart House fitness class registration page
