Fall Registration:
- Registration for Hart House Classes opens on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 7:00am
- Athletics and Wellness classes are open to U of T students and Hart House Athletic members.
- Creative Classes in the Arts and Food & Living classes are open to everyone: students, members and non-members.
- A minimum age of 17 and over unless otherwise specified

You may register in person at the HU B or online at www.harthouse.ca /classes
- For online registration make your first stop the “MY ACCOUNT” tab to retrieve your Login ID AND password.
- Existing students and members already have an account. Please follow instructions on the screen for receiving your password and logging in.
- For guests enrolling in your first Creative Classes in the Arts or Food & Living Classes – you will need to create
- Returning guests for the Creative Classes in the Arts may need to retrieve their Login ID AND password using the email address you created your Hart House account with.
- Students and members: a current email address on file is a must for online registration to work. Students should ensure that their email address is updated on ROSI, non-students please update HUB staff at 416.978.2452 if you are having difficulties logging in.
Once you are enrolled in an Athletics and Wellness class:
- On the day of your class check in at Athletics Reception Desk downstairs with your student or Hart House membership card.
- Bring a lock – you’ll need it in the locker room. Towel service is sold at The HUB.
- If you decide not to stay in the class you may withdraw before the 2nd class starts. There is an administrative charge for all withdrawals. After the 2nd class starts, there are no refunds.
- Space permitting – you may transfer from one class to another before the start of the 3rd class. There is no charge on transfers to another class (some exceptions apply).
- All fees are subject to HST.
- All refunds and transfers from one class to another must be done in person at the HUB.
Once you are enrolled in a Creative Class in the Arts or Food & Living class:
- No class transfers permitted.
- If you decide not to stay in the class you may withdraw 2 business days prior to the class starting. After this there are no cancellations permitted. There is an administrative charge for all withdrawals. Hart House reserves the right to substitute instructors as required.
- All fees are subject to HST.
- All refunds must be done in person at the HUB.

What is a waitlist and how does it work?:
If a course is full you will be given the chance to be put on a Waitlist for the course. When a space becomes available the first few people on the waitlist will be contacted. The first person to respond to our availability notice will be put in the class. Please respond to any space available notice as quickly as possible. A waitlist request, or notice of space availability, does not guarantee a spot. You may be contacted by phone or email so please ensure your contact information is up to date if you are putting yourself on a waitlist.

Services for Non-Members:
Creative Classes in the Arts and Food & Living Classes are open to everyone; students, members and non members. You may register for Creative Classes & Workshops in the Arts by clicking the Register link in the class description. You will be directed to our online registration service to complete the transaction. You may register in person at the HUB (main information desk inside Hart House). You must be seventeen years of age or older to register. Prices include HST.
How to Join:
To enroll, please visit the HUB located on the main floor near the West entrance.
Full-time University of Toronto Staff:
If you are eligible for the University of Toronto Health and Dental benefit plan you may also be eligible for the Joint Membership Plan. This provides access to Hart House, the Athletic Centre and the Faculty Club. To determine your eligibility for this subsidized benefit contact the Personnel/Human Resources representative in your Faculty or Department.
Spouse / Partner Athletics membership:
Athletic memberships are available for member partners/spouses. HUB: 416-978-2452 for more information.
Guest Priviledges:
The Hart House athletic facilities are for use by current members and their guests. Any member of Hart House may sponsor a guest and bring them into the facilities. A guest pass is currently $15 and may be purchased by presenting your current student or Senior member card at the The HUB: 416-978-2452. While the Hart House facilities are well used by current members and their guests the facilities are not available to non-members on a drop-in basis.
Membership Policies:
Welcome to Hart House. We hope that you enjoy the facilities. Each person entering Hart House for the purpose of participating inany Athletics Programme must be a member of Hart House or an authorized guest. U of T undergraduate and graduate students are automatically members through payment of their incidental fees. Faculty, staff and alumni must purchase a membership. For information regarding payment options, please contact the HUB. Hart House has the authority to revoke or suspend membership rights and privileges when offending behavior is exhibited by a member. Offending behavior includes, but is not limited to: disorderly conduct, disruptive behavior, persistent disregard of Hart House rules and regulations, default in payment of membership fees.
Access to Facilities:
All members must present their 2009/2010 student card or their Hart House Athletics membership card at the Athletics Reception Desk upon entry. For the safety and security of all our members, we enforce a “no card, no entry” policy. We ask that you comply with this policy and present your card on each visit. Members must be in proper athletic attire and check all coats and bags into day lockers before proceeding to exercise areas within the facility.
Refunds:
All refunds and transfers from one class to another must be done in person at Hart House. An administrative fee will be levied on each refund issued. Refunds are not issued after the beginning of the second scheduled class. A full refund will be given in the event a class is cancelled due to low enrollment.
Photography:
Unauthorized photography of any kind is strictly prohibited in the Athletics Facility. Permission to use cameras or other photographic equipment must be obtained in advance by submitting a written request to the HUB.
Unauthorized Instruction or Personal Training:
Personal training is conducted exclusively by Hart House personal training staff. Members are not permitted to conduct, or solicit for personal training within Hart House. Groups may not conduct, for profit or otherwise, classes which duplicate regular Hart House programming.
