Support and Services to Help Promote Your Event
There is only one thing to remember about promoting your Hart House event: If people don’t know about an event they won’t come to it.
There are dozens of events and activities happening on campus every day. How can you advertise your event so it stands out and attracts a wide audience? BE CREATIVE. START EARLY.
What should I do first?
As soon as the details of your event are confirmed, decide if you would like support from the Hart House Communications Department, or if you would like to promote your event independently.
This guide is designed to guide you through the entire process, whether or not you decide to access Hart House communications support; from building a promotional strategy to writing an Event Notification. Mandatory training sessions (view dates) will introduce the basic concepts of event promotion and the tools available.
All University of Toronto communications must comply with the Information and Communications Standard set out by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). We have compiled fact and tip sheets available for download here. Visit www.aoda.utoronto.ca for more information.
