Plan a Student Event: Promotion

If people don’t know about your event, how can they come to it?

Promotion is about getting people excited, letting them know what to expect and making it easy for them to come to your event. Tell everyone!

All Hart House clubs and committee members can promote university-related events to the campus community. Once you have planned your event, it’s pretty simple.

  1. Submit your event notification through our online formHartHouseUofT
  2. Design, print and distribute posters
  3. Update your social media channels and microsite*
  4. Connect with the campus community

Remember that all University of Toronto communications must comply with the Information and Communications Standard set out by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). We have compiled fact and tip sheets available for download here. Visit for more information.

*Hart House Club & Committee microsites must be edited on campus using the U of T wireless network due to security issues.
