Rooms & Rental Facilities
For over 90 years, the breathtaking setting of Hart House's Great Hall has been host to some of Toronto's most memorable events. It is considered one of the city's architectural masterpieces, with its soaring stained glass windows, marble floor and oak timbered ceilings.
For more intimate affairs, Hart House offers several common rooms, featuring original art, roaring fireplaces and old-world ambiance. At Hart House's centre is a stunning quadrangle with an outdoor patio and garden.

Hart House's historic Great Hall is a splendid room, one of the largest in the city. 115' x 38' or 65m x 11.5m, and about 60' or 18m high. Steinway grand piano.

The Quad
Our beautiful Quadrangle is the perfect venue for large outdoor events. Licensed. From April to October, the Quadrangle Tent provides shelter from sun and rain.

We can set the East Common Room in many ways, though the room is generally used for lounging.

Our lovely interfaith Chapel is available for baptisms and small weddings (up to 35 people) or meetings for faith-based groups.

Debates Room
A large function room, home of many historic debates. We can set this room to for up to 100 diners. This room will hold up to 180 people for a meeting. The Debates Room is 24' x 72' or 7.5m x 22m.

A lovely function room in the west wing of the second floor.There is a Steinway grand piano in this room. The room is 75' x 21' or 22.8m x 6.5m. Licensed.

A medium sized room with two lovely historic tables, Catering-available. If alcohol is desired, a Special Occasion Permit must be procured.

Suitable for meetings or meals, this room is often used as a buffet room or bar for large events in the Music Room. This room is next on our renewal list.

Bickersteth Room
This lovely panelled room was built in the 1930s in what was once a skylight over the main stair. On the Third Floor, it is easily accessible via our new elevator.
