Hart House Farm
Yes, it’s true. Hart House has a farm! It’s 150 acres of hiking trails and swimming ponds. There’s even a wood-burning sauna. Each year, the Farm Committee hosts seasonal events.
- Midsummer’s Eve (June)
- Sugaring Off (March/April whenever the sap runs)
- Winter Escape (February)
- Cider ‘n Song (October)
Students and Hart House members may book day trips and overnight stays at Hart House Farm. It’s also an ideal venue for conferences, workshops, team building and even a summer wedding in the mortar-less stone amphitheatre. To book or for more information, please contact Meeting & Event Services at 416.971.2343, the Hart House HUB at 416.978.2452, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Sustainable agriculture is everyone’s concern and Hart House’s Campus Agriculture Network empowers and supports small-scale agriculture across U of T and raises awareness about food and agriculture issues.
Students and Hart House members may join one of our clubs or committees such as the Hart House Farm Committee and the Social Justice committee.
