Explore, socialize and learn beyond the classroom
Hart House welcomes students from all U of T campuses and the general public to learn and discover 365 days of the year. Attend free events, take a class, visit the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery of contemporary art, dine at the acclaimed Gallery Grill restaurant, catch a show at Hart House Theatre, and enjoy a variety of unique rooms for meetings, rehearsals, dinners, weddings or just relaxing.
Students may join one of our clubs or committees and train in our fully-equipped aquatics and fitness centre.

Community memberships options and discounts for alumni, faculty and staff are also available.
More than a House
Hart House is located on the University of Toronto’s downtown campus, but our events, activities and services, including satellite fitness classes and tri-campus partnerships, reach out to all U of T students. The Justina M. Barnicke Gallery curates travelling exhibits to bring contemporary and Canadian art to galleries across the nation and throughout the world.
One of U of T’s best kept secrets is Hart House Farm. Nestled among the maple sugar trees and surrounded by open greenery dotted with swimming holes, the farm is located just 20 minutes away from Toronto. It is available for weddings, team-building meetings or student gatherings. Contact meeting & event services for more information at 416.978.2449 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
