About: Rebecca Ballarin is a freelance director and producer, and recent graduate of the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Toronto. In addition to her training under Leah Cherniak at U of T, she has completed directing workshops with Adam Seelig, Matthew Jocelyn and Kim Collier.  Rebecca recently worked as the Professional Theatre and Education Manager at Theatre Ontario, and spent a summer as the Youth and Community Outreach Coordinator at Canadian Stage. She had a busy Toronto Fringe Festival this year, directing her first piece of TYA for the Toronto Fringe KidsFest – Alex The Artist – as well as stage managing Maddie’s Karaoke Birthday Party.

This is Kathleen’s FOURTH time designing costumes for Hedwig and the Angry Inch. And she’s hoping to bring a whole new life to the concert for Hart House Theatre.

Acting credits include: Handle with Care (Tangled Web), Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (The Rose Theatre), Reggie in Some Girls (Empty Suitcase), Alice in Closer (Mnemonic Productions), the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella (GTA Pantomime), Iris in Lysistrata (Canopy Theatre) and performances of Tails at SickKids Hospital.  Recently, Kathleen received the Television Bureau of Canada’s Bessie award for best performance in a commercial.

About: Mac is a jack-of-all-trades from Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan. He is involved backstage and, more rarely, on stage. He recently graduated from U of T with a degree in English and Sexual Diversity Studies. He is the former General Manager of the Woodsworth Innis New Drama Society and was also a part of the U of T Drama Coalition from 2015-2017. Mac is very excited to have the opportunity to work on Hedwig and the Angry Inch with Hart House Theatre, a show that is particularly close to his heart.
