Hart House is here to help you live your best life on campus. Join us for our wellness programs designed to help you de-stress, connect with yourself and others, and find your balance.

Drop-In Mindful Moments Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Join us to practice mindfulness meditation techniques that can help reduce stress and increase resiliency. Sessions will be held in the Hart House fitness centre on a drop-in basis. Beginners welcome, registration not required. Open to students, staff and faculty however, a valid student card or Hart House membership required.

When: Tuesdays beginning September 11, 2018, 8:10-9 am

Board Game Cafe Wednesdays

Board Games are a great icebreaker that allows you to connect without that awkward small talk. Enjoy games, tea, and fun, whether you come solo or with friends!

When: Wednesdays, beginning September 19, 2018, 3-5 pm

Get Crafty Thursdays

Get creative, get empowered, get crafty! Join us every Thursday from 11 am-1 pm for free drop-in sessions and workshops. Learn basic skills for a variety of crafts including sewing, paper craft, collage, printing, painting, and more.

When: Thursdays, starting September 20, 2018, 11 am-1 pm
Where: Reading Room, Hart House
Cost: Free, all materials provided

5-Buck Lunch

Join us for a tasty and balanced meal and experience the flavours and cultures of the world. Whether you like sweet or savoury, comfort fare or spicy dishes, there is something to suit all taste buds.

When: Some Tuesdays of the year, 11:45 am-2 pm
Where: Great Hall, Hart House
Cost: $5 students, $7 non-students

Wellness for You

Do you have fitness and nutrition questions? Learn from experts and have your wellness questions answered for free at a 5-Buck Lunch. Throughout the year a variety of experts will hold sessions – from nutritionists to Hart House personal trainers – to send you home with personalized advice for your nutrition and fitness goals.

When: At each 5-Buck Lunch, 12-1 pm

ThriveU: Fit + Fueled + Focused Tuesdays & Thursdays

Not sure where to start your wellness journey? ThriveU is a beginner-friendly program that will help you find the keys to success in recreation, healthy eating, and mindfulness. Come out to two 50-minute sessions each week

Learn to Run 5K Program

In partnership with The Runner’s Academy, Hart House is offering a 10-week learn-to-run program. Each week covers a different aspect of run form, run training (includes strength and stretching), as well as other topics of interest in the group. Each session includes 30 mins of running and 20–30 mins of other work (strength, stretch, drills, and education).

Hart House also offers free drop-in fitness classes every day of the week.
