Family Sundays

Family Sundays at Hart House is a free monthly series of events for students and staff of the university with young families.

We provide fun, interactive, and educational events that explore cultural diversity through storytelling, music, food, arts and crafts. The program takes place in the East Common Room at long communal tables. Healthy snacks are provided.

As set out in the vision, Hart House “…is a living laboratory of social, artistic, cultural and recreational experiences where all voices, rhythms and traditions converge.” Family Sundays creates a social environment for parents/guardians to meet, to share their unique experiences and backgrounds, and to create a supportive community for their families on campus. Family Sundays at Hart House also provides a space for both parents/guardians and children to learn about new ideas, cultures and traditions. Additionally, the workshops help children develop motor skills and encourage them to think creatively.
