Photographic Essays - 7055

Description: This class focuses on how to create a photographic essay by a series of photographs and students will be encourage to create their own series by the end of the class. Although we will touch on technical details, this class will be all about creating a meaningful series of images.

1st class: Introduction to series work, class discussion, examples of work/ subjects to be explored. By the end of this class students will be expected to share an idea for a photographic essay.
2nd class: Discussing what makes a good series. Technical challenges as well as aesthetics. Students will share their ideas with the class and discuss their final approaches.
3rd class: Students will share their work to be critiqued by their instructor and peers. Instructor: Shlomi Amiga. The last day to withdraw from this class is 5:00 pm on January 31st. A $15 withdrawal fee applies.
