Ese Makolomi is a student at the University of Toronto in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences. She has always been involved with music. At the age of 12 years old, she decided to join her church choir where she had been attending for over 7 years. She has been an active member of 5 choirs and since entering U of T as a first year student, now sings occasionally at bars while writing her own songs on the side. She’s happiest when she’s singing and music will always be an integral part of her life.
The Uplifters are Jason Kenemy, Michael Herring and Dave Clark from the Woodshed Orchestra. These cats celebrate the deep grooves of R n B, Funk, Calypso, Punk, Jazz, Blues, New Orleans 2nd Line and Pop in a gumbo of original tunes that are made to rock your soul. They are host to guest musician Paul Kolinski of the Silent 5 whilst on the Hart House Idol run 2012/2013.
