Tour of Re-Imagining Place

The Hart House Centennial Commission

Join University of Toronto Art Museum Curator, Sarah Robayo Sheridan, and the Hart House Acquisitions Committee for a tour of Re-Imagining Place: The Hart House Centennial Commission.

For its centennial celebrations in 2019, Hart House is commissioning a major, permanent artwork by an Indigenous artist to transform its historic Great Hall. One step towards redressing settler colonial narratives, this permanent commission seeks to acknowledge the history, narratives and people who came before us; to honour the land upon which we live and work today; and to imagine other possible futures for current and future generations, from an Indigenous perspective. This tour is an exciting opportunity to view the proposals and get involved with the Hart House Art Committee!

When: Tues., Oct. 16, 2018, 12-1 pm
Where: Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, Hart House
Cost: Free
