U of T Jazz Program: Next Generation
Next Generation U of T is led and organized by Gordon Foote, acclaimed saxophone player and a respected faculty member in the Jazz Studies program. Gordon has served as the Quebec representative to the IAJE, the Director of Education for IAJE Canada and as President of Jazz Canada. His studies at the University of Minnesota and the University of North Texas combined with 37 years of performing and teaching experience, leave him as probably the most requested adjudicator, conductor, clinician and jazz educator/performer in Canada.

Sunday Concerts is the grand dame of Hart House’s concert series. Sunday Concerts has been making music and history in the Great Hall since 1922 featuring such Canadian music icons as Glenn Gould and Anton Kuerti to more recent stars such as Patricia O Callaghan and Juno award winner Jane Bunnett. From new musical voices, to the best in classical content to world music traditions, the Sunday Concert series offers students and community a chance to experience and explore music in all its majesty!
