Join us for a concert featuring pianist Luke Welch. Canadian pianist Luke Welch was born and grew up in Mississauga, Ontario. He played his first public performance at age seven. He later completed a Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the University of Western Ontario in Canada under the tutelage of John-Paul Bracey and accomplished further graduate studies in the Netherlands.
Welch has also participated in the classes of many distinguished artists including Jean-Bernard Pommier and Stéphane Lemelin. He has performed extensively on the international stage with appearances in Canada, United States of America, Germany, Italy, Wales, and New Zealand.
He has received national and international awards and grants based in both North America and Europe, and in addition to his performance commitments and private teaching, he has been working with a number of national and international academies and arts institutions.
Welch also released his highly anticipated second album ‘Crossing Borders’ in 2017.
