University of Toronto Opera: Falling in Love with Love


Details: Falling in Love with Love is a celebration of 50 years of Opera at the MacMillan Theatre and pays homage to many of the most loved and greatest operatic arias. Featuring rising stars Hyejin Kwon, Jan Nato, Andrea Nunez and Zachary Read, and emceed by Resident Stage Director, Michael Albano. Opera at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music continues to be one of North America’s pre-eminent centres for operatic training. Many of its distinguished alumni have built careers around the globe as well as at Canadian companies across the country. Graduates active on the opera scene today include John Fanning, Adrianne Pieczonka and Russell Braun.

Sunday ConcertsSunday Concerts is Hart House’s venerable concert series, making music and history in the majesty of the Great Hall since 1922. Through Canadian music icons such as Glenn Gould and Anton Kuerti to new musical voices and world music traditions, the Sunday Concert series offers patrons a chance to experience a delightful and adventurous musical journey in an environment where in the spirit of the Hart House vision ‘all rhythms, voices and traditions converge.’
