Details: Twenty-five year old cellist Brian Yoon is the winner of the prestigious 2012 Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition, as well as the recipient of the competition’s City of Brandon Prize for the best performance of the commissioned piece String Theory. Hart House is pleased to be supporting the winner’s national tour again this year featuring this bright new classical music star. As a soloist, Brian has been featured in performances with the Vancouver Academy, the University of Ottawa, the Guelph Symphony, and the Ottawa Symphony Orchestras. Brian will be accompanied by pianist Eliza Ching, winner of the Best Collaborative Pianist prize at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Competition. She is a doctoral candidate in Collaborative Piano at the University of Maryland, College Park.
