SOLD OUT: Sugaring Off at Hart House Farm

Sugaring Off Poster ImageDetails: Did you know that Canada produces over 80% of the world’s maple syrup? Winter is beginning to thaw, which means maple sap is running and almost ready to be made into this delicious syrup! Join us at Hart House Farm to visit the sugar shack and learn about the sap-to-syrup process. We will be providing you with a pancake brunch to enjoy the farm’s very own maple syrup! Some other activities we’ll be offering are:



Sugaring Off makes the most of the spring thaw with these fun activities:

  • Visit the Farm’s maple bush and sugar shack
  • DIY maple sugar cookies
  • Tour the Farm
  • Hike through the property’s trails
  • Explore the Farm’s caves and crevasses
  • Relax in the sauna (or dare to participate in polar dip in the pond!)



When: Sat., April 5, 2014
Buses leave Hart House (7 Hart House Circle) at 11 am (arriving at Farm at 12 pm), and will leave the Farm at 7 pm (arriving at Hart House at 8 pm)

Special instructions for participants:

  • Brunch and dinner will be provided
  • Bring containers to take home Hart House Farm maple syrup
  • Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather
  • Bring your swimsuits to enjoy the sauna and polar dip in the pond (no lifeguards are on duty, so swim with a buddy or group)
  • Pets are not permitted at the farm
  • Please be waiting at Hart House Circle (outside Hart House) 15 minutes before departure
