Details: Join us for One Brave Run and help raise awareness of mental health at the University of Toronto and in the broader community.
The day will start with community speakers sharing their story on mental health and illness. After speeches, participants will start a 1km walk or 5km run around the university campus. The run/walk will end at Hart House Circle, where there will be a Mental Health Expo that involves organizations that support mental health on campus or in the community.
The event is the day after Centre for Addiction and Mental Health’s One Brave Night, which is a Canada-wide challenge to share and inspire hope for the 1 in 5 Canadians living with mental illness in any given year.

About our Speakers
Dr. Bill Ju is an Associate Professor in the Human Biology Program at the University of Toronto. Dr. Ju is a graduate of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at UofT and this is where he developed his passion for teaching undergraduate students.
Annette Verschuren , OC is a Canadian business woman. She was the President of The Home Depot Canada and the Home Depot Asia and is currently the Chair & CEO of NRStor Inc.
Verschuren is currently the chair of the Clean Energy Task Force for Ontario. She also serves as the Chancellor of Cape Breton University, and chairs fundraising efforts for the university’s Verschuren Centre for Sustainability in Energy and the Environment (VCSEE). Her current board memberships include Air Canada, Liberty Mutual, The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation, Saputo Inc. and the Conference Board of Canada.
