The Music Committee Presents Midday Mosaics throughout the year showcasing hidden talent from the U of T campus community. See faculty members, professors and students in a different light as they show off their musical gifts and then join us for complimentary light refreshments!

 

Midday Mosaics - Apr 2 - Dale SorensenDetails: Canadian trombonist Dale Sorensen is a member of the Charlottetown Festival Orchestra and the PEI Symphony, and is a regular player with Symphony Nova Scotia. He has held positions as Principal Trombonist with the Windsor Symphony and Second Trombonist with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, and freelanced with groups such as the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Orchestra London, National Ballet of Canada, and Opera Atelier in a three-week, eight-city tour of Japan. He can be heard on CD recordings with the Elora Festival Orchestra and Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, the Windsor Symphony, and Symphony Nova Scotia. Dale has taught part-time at the University of Prince Edward Island and Dalhousie University, and is active as an adjudicator and private teacher. He is in the third year of a doctorate in trombone performance at the University of Toronto.
