Midday Mosaics


Have a lunch break during the day? Come on over to Hart House and enjoy a free concert! The Music Committee Presents Midday Mosaics throughout the year showcasing hidden talent from the U of T campus community. See faculty members, professors and students in a different light as they show off their musical gifts and then join us for complimentary light refreshments!

 

Details: Join us for a performance by Susha, a musician and visual artist from India. She is a trained south Indian classical (carnatic) musician who has toured the world since the age of 11 performing and being an ambassador for the rich tradition that her music represents. She has won awards for her classical Indian concert style and has many albums to her credit and performs in Indian motion pictures in addition to contemporary dance concerts, art and music fusion and other creative, collaborative avenues. Susha is interested in world music and is a trained vocalist in the western classical style. She has been part of contemporary Indian music bands such as Yodhakaa and Poorvaa performing vocals and percussion for avant guard Indian music. Susha is currently a student at the University of Toronto in the jazz performance program and performs with Christine Duncan in her improvisational choir The Element Choir .
