Details: As students hurry to get that last bit of studying or that final revision of their papers done before the end of term, members of the Hart House Chorus will be ready to calm their hectic lives with a spring concert of sacred compositions by Joseph Haydn and Ludwig van Beethoven. Directed by David Bowser, with accompanist Lisa Tahara, the concert will feature a Missa Brevis by Haydn and Beethoven’s Mass in C Major. The choir will be joined by soloists from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music.

About the Chorus: The Hart House Chorus is a fifty-member auditioned choir composed of members of the University of Toronto community.
David Bowser is currently Music Director and Conductor of the NYCO Symphony Orchestra, the Hart House Chorus and the Oakville Choral Society. He is an active guest conductor, composer, university instructor, and vocal coach and is a doctoral student at the University of Toronto.
Lisa Tahara is currently in the Doctorate of Musical Arts program at the University of Toronto and a teaching assistant for the University of Toronto Children’s Piano Pedagogy Program.
