Peter Campbell PortraitPeter Campbell

Details: Growing up in a family of classical musicians and entertainment professionals, Toronto-based Peter Campbell began performing at an early age. From cabaret appearances with fellow young performers from the worlds of theater, film and television, he went on to concert and cabaret venues ranging from Toronto, New York City, to the Midwestern United States. His repertoire includes work from the Great American Songbook as well as material from contemporary composers such as Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Cohen and Jimmy Webb.

Peter’s previous recording work includes collaborations with pianist Lee Musiker (Tony Bennett, Barbara Cook) and guitar virtuoso Gene Bertoncini (Nancy Wilson, Lena Horne). His premier Canadian recording, “Street of Tears,” was released in late 2014 with a performance at Toronto’s Jazz Bistro. 2017 will see the release of a tribute recording to the work of the late jazz singer and pianist Shirley Horn.
