Faculty of Music: U of T Jazz Orchestra
Details: The University of Toronto Jazz Orchestra is one of the many ensembles of the Jazz Studies Program at the Faculty of Music. With standard big band instrumentation, it performs a wide variety of music from jazz standards of the 1930s and 40s to music of U of T students and faculty, as well as works by internationally known composers and arrangers. Conducted by Gordon Foote since the fall of 2012, each semester the ensemble performs at various venues including around campus and at local high schools.
