Details: The Hart House Jazz Ensemble is an eclectic group of students led by U of T graduate and acclaimed percussionist Ernesto Cervini. Ernesto is a respected musician who’s dedicated to music education and expanding musical boundaries. The Jazz ensemble under his leadership turn the spotlight on students in a traditional ensemble arrangement Students take centre stage as musical soloists and ensemble musicians while fan favourite and Math Professor Sam Broverman takes a turn as guest vocalist singing standards from the jazz songbook. From Duke Ellington to Pat Metheny to specially commissioned pieces, the HH Jazz Ensemble is a treat for jazz and music lovers alike.
