Message from the Hart House Orchestra / Support our Trip to Carnegie Hall
Since 1976, the Hart House Orchestra has provided an excellent platform for members of the broader University of Toronto community who have musical interest and training to perform challenging symphonic works. The orchestra also fosters strong fellowship amongst its members.
As one of the finest community ensembles in Toronto, Hart House Orchestra has no shortage of local talent. Each one of the 80 to 90 members comes from a distinct heritage and background; Hart House Orchestra proudly represents the vast diversity that the University of Toronto has to offer. Its concerts always aim to explore and highlight the limitless potential and vibrancy of this world-class academic institution.
The Hart House Orchestra is more than excited to announce that its members will showcase their work at the world famous Carnegie Hall in the heart of Manhattan, New York City, this upcoming season. Not only is it a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience for all musicians, professional or otherwise, but it is also an exceptional way to exhibit what Canada has to contribute to the wonderful world of classical music and to make unique connections in the cultural hub of North America.
All proceeds of the fundraising efforts will go towards the cost of music purchase, instrument rental, and travel for the upcoming New York tour in February 2017. Your generous donations will help the Orchestra community to continue inspiring its audiences and helping its members achieve their goals.
Thank you for your kind support!
