Achieving Peaceful Pluralism in a Globalized World:
Personal Strategies for Promoting Peaceful Pluralism
The Hart House Global Commons is an interdisciplinary space for U of T students (including UTSC and UTM) to engage in real-time dialogue with students who will be participating virtually from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, The University of Cape Town, South Africa, and Indiana University Bloomington.
The third and final event of the 2017-2018 series focuses on exploring current and future actions, strategies, and initiatives which individuals can take to promote justice-based and peaceful pluralism. How can individuals work in their own communities and collectively, in order to support inclusionary practices centered on empathy, equity, and understanding. How is belonging fostered? How can we uncover our strengths and break down barriers in these processes?
Join us for an exciting opportunity to engage internationally, share perspectives and lived experiences, and explore ways to work in our communities towards peaceful and justice-based pluralism.
